  3. At last add the milk.
  4. Whisk together until you have a smooth consistency and the buttercream looks white (See example in las photo).

Step 6: Coloring Buttercream and Using Piping Bag

For this step you will need:

  1. Buttercream
  2. Food coloring
  3. A decorating bag
  4. Frosting tip

Instructions:

Because im making four different kinds of cupcakes i divided the buttercream in four different parts. If you want to make only one kind you can skip the first instruction. Only bare in mind using the food coloring you want to color the buttercream.

  1. First divide the previous made buttercream in four different parts, set aside three parts and take one to divide again in two. The cupcake i made with this buttercream is the "Spooky Soup" (You can see it in the next step) so thats why i needed two colors for this, purple and green.
  2. After coloring the buttercream i used a piping bag to decorate the cupcake.
  3. Please see next steps to make one or all of the cupcakes in this instructable.

If you don't know how to assembly a piping bag please see this instructions below:

  1. Pick your frosting tip.
  2. Slip the frosting tip into the decorating bag.
  3. Cut off the tip of the bag.
  4. The opening of the bag should sit below the opening of the frosting tip.
  5. Fold down the top of the decorating bag.
  6. Hold bag and start spooning in your frosting.
  7. Once filled, unfold the top of the decorating bag and gather the edges together.
  8. Push frosting down toward the tip. Make sure you get out any air pockets.
  9. Tie off the end.

Step 7: Spooky Soup (First Cupcake)

To create this look:

1. Use the purple cupcakes.

2. Frosting:

How to decorate using a piping bag:

  1. Add a dollop of buttercream in the center of the cupcake. Hold the bag perpendicular to the cupcake. Add some pressure to the piping bag and allow a little frosting to come out, then pull up and away and release the pressure.
  2. Going around the dollop in the center, start frosting the cupcake around the edge. As you complete a full circle, move the piping bag slightly inward to create the next circle rotation.
  3. Release the pressure and pull the bag away.

3. Decorations:

You will need:

  • Ghost and eyes marzipan.
  • Little gommies

Instructions:

For this cupcake i wanted to make a "soup of spooky things" that why i used eyes and a ghost of marzipan (i bought this in my local supermarket) to decorate. Also i used some little gummies to sparkle all over the cupcake.

1.Use the black cupcakes.

2. Frosting:

For this cupcake it's no necessary a piping bag.

You will need:

  • 10 oreo cookies without the filling
  • Worm gummies
  • Paper Rip Stones

Instructions:

  1. Crush some oreos.
  2. Spread them in the cupcake.
  3. Take some worm gummies and place the on top of the cupcake.
  4. Print some RIP stones (you can use the ones i used, please see attached photos, there is one of the RIP stones) and placed them in the cupcake with toothpicks or something that holds it.

Step 9: Pumpkin Fiesta (Third Cupcake)

To create this look:

1.Use the orange cupcakes.

2. Frosting:

  2. To frost the cupcake use the same steps as explained in the first cupcake (Spooky Soup).

Step 10: Sugar Glass: How to Make...

For my last cupcake i needed some sugar glass that why im showing you how to make it!

Ingredients:

This amount makes up for 12 cupcakes.

  • 2 cup sugar.
  • 3/4 cup of water.
  • 2/3 corn syrup.
  • Optional: Candy thermometer

Instructions:

    1. To begin, place water, sugar, corn syrup (liquid glucose) in a pot (or in my case, because im making a little amount, just for 3 cupcakes, i used a skillet).
    2. With the heat set to medium-low gently stir the mixture until it starts to boil. Stir constantly until the thermometer reaches 300 F (150 C) or if you don't have the thermometer like me, when you start to see it's becoming yellow.
    3. Once at 300 degrees, remove from heat and transfer immediately to a baking pan (lined with wax paper or sprayed with nonstick).
    4. Allow it to sit until hardened (about 1-2 hours).
    5. Crack with a knife or by letting the pan drop straight down.

    To create this look:

    1.Use the red cupcakes.

    2.Frosting:

    1. Use the buttercream without food coloring.
    2. To frost the cupcake use the same steps as explained in the first cupcake (Spooky Soup).

    Decoration:

    You will need:

    • Sugar glass
    • Blackberry Jam

    1. Use the previously made sugar glass and insert some pieces in each cupcake.
    2. With a spoon add some blackberry jam or any kind of red jam you have on hand (i used blackberry jam that i had already on my house) on the top.

    Step 12: Final Look! Enjoy!
